The Health Foundation’s paper, “Improving maternal and newborn health in Malawi,” analyzes the structure and impact of MaiKhanda, a program set in Malawi particularly designed to address the issue of maternal health. Ths 2013 paper goes over the status of maternal and infant care in Malawi as a whole before explaining the general structure of the program and how it has changed and expanded over time. The paper also addresses the impact of the program, thoroughly outlining their data collection process for measuring their success before moving onto case studies of people involved in or helped by the project. This project is particularly useful in seeing what programs are already being done in Malawi to address maternal health and what strategies have or have not been successful
